From the President
Last Thursday your Lewisville Area Chamber, in partnership with the City of Lewisville, North Central Texas College, and other area partners executed the Hi-Tech Hiring Event at the Hilton Garden Inn.

We received great feedback from employers as well as the job seekers. Employers were pleased by the number of qualified applicants who attended the event. One job seeker shared, "This is a great event. It provides a great opportunity to get to know leading tech companies in the area."

The event concluded with a dynamic and informative talk by Michael Howard, Senior Principal Cybersecurity Architect for Microsoft Public Sector Services. Mr. Howard addressed the need for IT and cybersecurity education programs that provide greater focus on application rather than theory. He also gave relevant tips to protect yourself in cyberspace.  We were honored to have Mr. Howard and appreciate him sharing his insights on an ever-evolving topic.
