"And the secret garden bloomed and bloomed and every morning revealed new miracles."
- Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden
Thank you to everyone who made our 22nd Annual English Tea, "Secret Garden," a delight!

Last Saturday, we celebrated our 22nd Annual English Tea in the company of over 230 guests. Our Emcee, Peggy Pico, and Event Chair, Patricia Moore, led the event. Guests included Mayor Catherine Blakespear, Council Member Tasha Boerner Horvath, and members of the local community. Our Keynote Speaker, Summer Stephan, shared with guests the reality of the state of domestic violence in the region. It was a beautiful day filled with an elegant tea, wonderful auction and raffle prizes, scrumptious lunch, and moving speakers! Thank you to our sponsors, guests, speakers, donors, and English Tea Committee!

SUCCESS STORY
Shelter Helps Single Mom Get Back on Her Feet
Maria came to CRC last December when she could no longer afford her rent and found herself without a place to stay. She was provided a referral to the Interfaith Shelter Network, where she and her 3-year-old son stayed for eight weeks. Maria worked with a CRC case manager during this time for help finding stable housing. Just last weekend, Maria and her son moved into their own apartment in San Marcos.

Please help others like Maria and her son by donating today.
