What do like most about Ozanam Pharmacy? "I love to see the incredible gratitude the patients have for our services and it's amazing to see the passion and kindness of all the staff and volunteers at Ozanam!"
What do you like to do for fun? "I enjoy boating and water sports very much, as well as hanging out with friends and family. I also am actively involved in animal rescue all over the region."
Do you have any pets? "I do. I have a spoiled rotten dog named Costello. He is 70 pound pit-bull mix and is my world. He was my first rescue dog and I fostered him through the Animal Rescue Foundation in Theodore, Al. He was quickly a "foster fail" and I knew I'd never let him go. I have had many fosters since then and been able to help them find their forever homes."
What is your favorite show? "My favorite show is the Friends Series. I have easily seen every episode a dozen or two times. It is always my go-to show.
What is your favorite book? "Tuesdays with Morrie."
My favorite quote from the book is:
"So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half -asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. They way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to you community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."
What is your favorite meal? "I make a delicious sausage hash brown casserole and it is always requested by my family for all holiday brunch gatherings."
What was the most unusual or interesting job you've ever had?
"I completed my first rotation of my 4th year at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. I was allowed to scrub in on an open heart surgery with a phenomenal cardiothoracic surgeon, who was a wonderful teacher. He even allowed me to assist on the surgery and hold the heart! it was an experience I will absolutely never forget and I am forever grateful for the opportunity."
What is your personal philosophy? "Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience."
