Coming Soon! The First USDA Certified Organic Cognac in U.S. Market
Mery-Melrose Organic Grande Fine Champagne Cognac
We are now taking pre-orders for the first USDA Certified Organic Cognac to the American market and the only spirits to meet the rigorous standards to be included at the recent premier event Raw Wine, Brooklyn, NY. Mery-Melrose Cognacs are produced in the family cellars from organically farmed vineyards owned and gently tended by Francois and Janis Mery.
This welcome addition to our portfolio continues our tradition of focusing on gentle agriculture and wine-making - placing Columbus Wine and Spirits as a leader of sustainable/organic wine and spirits production. Read more about Mery-Melrose Organic Cognacs.
Larry's Notes: Spirit Market Not Always Obvious!
I recently read in The Beverage Journal that 40.9% of all Cognac purchases in the US are made by women. Sounded high, but I was pleased to hear that as we just began to import Mery-Melrose USDA & Ecocert Certified Organic Cognac.
I was skeptical until I reviewed the results of a recent post for Domaine de Papolle Bas-Armagnac that we boosted online. As it turns out 40.4% of those who engaged with the post were women. So while clicking through on an ad does not necessarily translate to a sale it is a pretty good indication of what the market will reflect. It was also interesting to note that 80% of those who clicked through were between the age of 25-54. Another myth dissolved Cognac/Armagnac are not old man's drinks! For more info about our spirit offerings, click here.
