Tau brother and 2023 Kappa Sigma Tau Man of the Year Pat Molak passed away at home on Good Friday, March 29. He was owner of the legendary live music venue Gruene Hall and many other popular retail and restaurant destinations in the Texas Hill Country.
Tim Herman '63, who first met Pat in 1965 as his pledge trainer, described him as "a rare combination of warmth, generosity, hilarity and success" when honoring him as 2023 Tau Man of the Year last fall.
Pat is survived by his wife, Susie, and his two children: Katie Molak Courtney (Cody) and Jake Molak (Pilar); four grandchildren: Bridger, Cissy, Lily, and Camila; and three nephews: Michael, Matt and Marc Molak.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
