Peter Clarke, Co-Founder Atlantic Group; Private Advisor and Managing Director, Rockefeller Global Family Office, Palm Beach Gardens
"A lot of organizations ask for donations, but Trustbridge Foundation asked me to add value."
| | |
Behind every strong organization are dedicated volunteers who share their expertise in service of the mission. One of those leaders for Trustbridge Foundation is board member Peter Clarke.
When Peter moved to Florida in 2014, invitations to fundraising events flooded in. However, it was Trustbridge Foundation's invitation to share his expertise with the Investment Committee that became a deeply meaningful investment of his time. "I found a home here. I found purpose here."
Peter now serves as a Foundation board member as well as Investment Committee Chair. "As the organization grows, I continue to enjoy being part of it." As an economist and financial advisor, Peter brings both industry insight and practical expertise to his role.
Peter's commitment to hospice is also personal. Both of his parents passed at young ages. In an unexpected way, what began as an opportunity to share his professional expertise has brought things full circle. "Twenty years later, I have the opportunity to support hospice services like the ones that supported our family."

Trustbridge Bereavement Department staff and volunteers were proud to help sponsor Get2Give's Back-to-School event in Belle Glade on July 25.
In addition to connecting 85 families with information about available grief services, Trustbridge staff and volunteers helped ensure 250 children left the event with fresh haircuts, school uniforms, new sneakers, and Bombas socks. Mission partners Florida Farm Workers and the Glades Initiative supported the families by providing groceries.
Together, these partnerships helped local families prepare for the school year ahead while connecting them with resources and support that strengthen our community year-round.

Volunteer Bob O'Bannon, West Palm Beach Resale Store
Because of volunteers like Bob, every donation, purchase and friendly conversation helps support Trustbridge's mission.
| | | |
Volunteer Bob O'Bannon jokes that shoppers come to Trustbridge Foundation's West Palm Beach store on Wednesdays to visit with him. It also happens to be Senior Discount Day, but Bob knows the camaraderie among shoppers, volunteers and staff is what keeps everyone coming back - whether to shop or help.
Bob is a long time resale shopper, but joined the volunteer team about six years ago to give back during the extra hours retirement has given him. A fellow volunteer describes Bob as selfless, but his neighbors know him as the resale guy. "Neighbors drop off donations to me all the time, and they're really nice items that help support hospice."
Bob's favorite job at the store is testing all the donated gadgets. "They put me on the register initially. I can do it, but I hadn't worked a register since McDonald's as a teenager."
Find your local Trustbridge resale shop at Resale.

This year, our nation celebrates 250 years. The freedoms we honor exist because of the men and women who choose to serve our country. Some of them are in our care right now.
At Trustbridge Foundation, honoring veterans is not a program we added. It is part of who we are, and weaved into the fabric of what we believe. Our hospice teams identify veterans in our care and ensure their service is recognized with dignity through formal ceremonies, veteran volunteer companions, and a care environment that treats a flag, a hat, and a patriotic song as essential, not optional.
Because of generous donors like you, meaningful programs like these are possible. Your gift will help us continue to support and care for our community in their greatest time of need.

August is National Make-A-Will Month, a timely reminder to think about the future and the people who matter most to you. One of the biggest misconceptions about wills is that they're only for older adults or those with significant wealth. In reality, every adult can benefit from having a plan in place.
Creating a will is about much more than distributing assets. It provides clarity for your loved ones and can help ease difficult decisions during an emotional time. It also gives you the opportunity to ensure your wishes are known and honored.
Whether you're creating your first will or reviewing one that's already in place, National Make-A-Will Month is a great opportunity to take that important step. A little planning today can provide peace of mind for tomorrow.
For some individuals, a will also provides an opportunity to support causes that reflect their values. To explore how a charitable bequest can support both your legacy and Trustbridge's mission, please contact Darla Stanton.
