Welcome to the Van Zandt Arts & Cultural District Foundation
The Van Zandt Arts & Cultural District Foundation is a newly-formed non-profit 501(c)3 organization supporting tourism and education opportunities in the southeast corner of Van Zandt County — a distinctive arts and cultural sector of the county that includes Edom, Van, and Ben Wheeler, as well as the Van school district . Our mission is to enhance and promote the value of the district’s creative and economic life by engaging artistic, cultural, educational, and commercial neighbors through programs, events, and initiatives. More tourism opportunities and arts education means better communities for residents and future generations. READ MORE ABOUT HOW WE GOT STARTED AND WHY.
A tourism council is up and running with plans for special events, marketing campaigns, regional tours, and more. MARK YOUR CALENDARS for 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 17 at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott Van to learn more about their efforts and how it affects you, enjoy light refreshments, and get to know your fellow shopkeepers.

The Education Committee is charged with arranging arts and cultural projects that benefit students and the community. About 30 programs are available to teachers and administrators of Van ISD for the 2018-2019 year. Plus, Jeanette Germany's journalism class is doing a special project where the students interview tourism businesses for the website. Stay tuned for more!
