We hope you are continuing to stay healthy and safe - this month, we have a new free knitting pattern and charity craft-along to keep your hands busy!

If you can, please support your local yarn store and other makers in the industry during this difficult time. Many of our wonderful retailers are offering virtual shopping and curbside pickup, or you can purchase gift cards towards a future purchase to lend your support.

Please know that we are doing everything we can to keep our employees safe and disseminate as much helpful information as we can - keep reading for an update from our manufacturing facility in Jaipur.

Last but not least, the application deadline for the 2020 Beans for Brains scholarship fund from Jimmy Beans Wool has been extended - keep reading for more details.

Sincerely,
The Knitter's Pride Team

Free Pattern:

A Precious Resource by Michael Harrigan

free colorwork cowl knitting pattern
We have a new FREE cowl knitting pattern for our latest charity craft-along, which has a colorwork theme!

A Precious Resource is knit in the round and is suitable for anyone with basic colorwork knitting skills - as only two colors are involved on any round.  This cowl / neck warmer features stranded colorwork patterns inspired by the world's endangered rainforests - in fact, one of Michael's favorite charities is  The Coalition for Rainforest Nations , which is dedicated to helping tropical governments and communities responsibly manage their rainforests to combat climate change and incentivize  conservation

Social Distancing at the Knitter's Pride Factory

We are pleased to report that all of our employees have been safe & healthy during the COVID-19 crisis. Even during our factory's brief closure, we have continued paying full salaries for our entire staff and are committed to keeping everyone on the payroll with no layoffs.

Now that our factory in Jaipur has been given permission to begin the first phase of restarting operations, we are complying with all local government recommendations and mandates, and have even gone one step further by providing free bus shuttles which are sanitized on a regular basis.

Here's how we're keeping our team safe:
  • Posters in various locations to spread awareness on how to stay safe
  • Markings to help maintain social distancing
  • Making sure all employees wear a fresh mask each day
  • Daily temperature scans at factory entrance & prior to boarding buses at end of work day
  • Touchless sanitizer dispensers at factory entrance & touchless soap and water stations throughout the factory (designed by our engineering team!)
  • Regular disinfection at work stations and throughout the factory

We are committed to keeping our work force healthy and safe while continuing to make the needles, hooks and accessories you love!
