MGGLB Forum: END Poverty!
The Making Global Goals Local Business MGGLB Forum in Lebanon brought together regional and global leaders from business, civil society, government and Global Compact Local Networks in the Middle East, to catalyze a collective action affecting the Ten Principles and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Makhzoumi Foundation participated in the celebration ceremony organized by the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, to announce the results of the expressionist and artistic competition on the issue of the marriage of underage girls under the title “Not before 18 Years Old”

Based on the constant interest of Makhzoumi Foundation and its tireless efforts to empower women and achieve the sustainable development goals, The Foundation participated in the sixty-third session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City

Participating at Brussels lll Conference!
The European Union, in cooperation with the United Nations, held a conference in the Belgian capital Brussels, from 12 to 14 March, to discuss the issue of Syrian refugees, in the presence of representatives of countries and donors, and the host countries of the displaced, especially Lebanon, which hosts large numbers of refugees.

Agricultural, Landscape, & Nutrition Exhibition!
Makhzoumi Foundation’s Development Program participated in the “Agricultural, Landscape, Nutrition, and Food Industries Exhibition”, that was held by the Alumni Club of the American University of Beirut
The exhibition included a series of seminars and lectures on agricultural products, tools and medicines, and on the importance of bees and solar energy.

Save Our Faces: Keep Our Coast Clean!
Coinciding with World Ocean Day, and as an extension of the Yalla Nefroz initiative, Makhzoumi Foundation participated in the national campaign to clean the Lebanese coast launched by the Ministry of Environment under the slogan “Save our faces”, which included the cleaning of about 120 sites

Keeping The Big Blue Clean!
As an extension to its initiative in the preservation of the environment “Yalla Nefroz”, Makhzoumi Foundation participated in the campaign of the Big Blue Association to clean the Lebanese coast and sea, from Arida north to Ras Al Naqoura in the south

Don't Throw Waste In The Ocean!
On September the 29th, a beach clean-up campaign, organized by Makhzoumi Foundation, in collaboration with Burj Al Barajne Municipality, and funded by UNHCR, took place after big efforts and preparations.
The campaign targeted part of Ouzaii Beach after a field scan conducted in the area. The area was highly littered with plastic which formed a great bulk of debris that washed up the beach

Serving Our Community During Every Phase!
Lebanon has witnessed several different events in the recent period, which began with the wave of fires that hit a number of Lebanese areas, and did not end with the break of protest movements and demonstrations to condemn the situation that the country has reached.

Osteoporosis Tests At Makhzoumi Foundation!
Because a bone density test is the only test that can diagnose osteoporosis before a broken bone occurs, every year, Makhzoumi Foundation runs a campaign for the detection of osteoporosis in women in the community.
This test helps women to estimate their chances of breaking a bone.

Empowering Youth: Graduation of 300 Students!
Makhzoumi Foundation celebrated the graduation of 300 students from different regions of Lebanon, after completing vocational training courses on tiling, wall painting and wallpaper installation, which was organized by the Foundation in cooperation with GIZ, funded by the European Union, Madad Fund, within the QUDRA project

Makhzoumi Foundation was founded in Lebanon in 1997 out of a strong desire to help empower the community in Lebanon in order to achieve self-sufficient independence via improved prospects.
From this perspective, the Youth Leadership Academy is working to empower new leaders of today’s generations within the community.

Technology, Engineering & Robotics for All!
As part of the ongoing cooperation between Makhzoumi Foundation and The Little Engineer, to develop education and keep abreast of technological development, the training of trainers on robotics concepts has concluded for a number of school teachers who have undergone a training course to transfer this knowledge to their students in schools.

She's Entrepreneur!
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, and in line with its the permanent pursuit of women’s empowerment, Makhzoumi Foundation launched “She’s Entrepreneur” Forum for the second consecutive year, in collaboration with the Beirut Digital District, the Lebanese League for Women in Business LLWB, and the National Commission for Lebanese Women, On March 9, at the BDD Center

Encouraging Entrepreneurship!
In partnership with ActionAid – the Arab Region in Lebanon, Makhzoumi Foundation organized a competition for emerging projects in the framework of the ROTA-funded Educational, Economic and Social Development Project for Youth.
After a comparison and selection of the proposed projects (of which 73), 22 projects were chosen for the final phase.

Empowering Women In Trade & Economy!
The National Commission for Lebanese Women NCLW organized a training course in cooperation with the Center for Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR) on “Advocacy Skills for Gender and Trade Change” at the Padova Hotel in Beirut.

Best Social Program Award!
The Excellence Awards Academy – Dubai, in cooperation with the Center for Training, Research and Studies in the Arab Economic Unity Council, honored a number of distinguished organizations in the Arab region for their initiatives in the smart governance sector and in the economic and social sectors.
Makhzoumi Foundation won the Excellence Award for Economic and Social Initiatives of 2019 for the category of comprehensive social programs.
