The Pro-Life Feminist
FCLNY educates on the impacts and root causes of publicly sanctioned lethal violence, including abortion, war, and capital punishment. We engage in grassroots activism and embrace the core principles of non-violence and non-discrimination.

LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY
This year, FCLNY served as an organizational endorser of the Coalition to Protect Kids-NY, a non-partisan ballot issue committee created to educate in opposition to the ERA or Prop One. Among other things, this state constitutional amendment expands a woman’s right to abort her unborn children, regardless of gestational age, and allows for the degradation of safeguards that protect vulnerable pregnant women.
- Though the amendment devastatingly passed by a 56.5% majority vote, voters in a majority of counties in NY rejected it. There are indeed huge blocks of populations in NY that recognize the inherent value and dignity of human life, including for the weakest among us– our children.
Many abortion enshrining measures were on the ballot nationwide, and in contrasting them to NY’s Prop One, we’re hopeful NY is truly changing. One such example is Florida’s Amendment 4, which failed to reach its ⅔ majority to pass.
- Had the same standard to amend a state constitution been set in NY, the ERA would have failed. FCLNY is confident a culture of life is taking root and will blossom in our state.
In 2025, FCLNY will push to educate on and defeat pending bills in our state legislature that aim to legalize assisted suicide. The Medical Aid in Dying Act (MAID) (S2445C/A995C) allows for certain folks to request and consume deadly medication that would end their lives. As a member of the Consistent Life Ethic Network, FCLNY stands in strong opposition to this form of sanctioned lethal violence.

SCHOLARLY EVENTS
FCLNY is committed to organizing educational events rooted in scientific and academic based reasoning. Our events continue to attract not just local audiences, but people from across the entire globe, including Canada, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and more.
FCLNY is overjoyed to announce a successful opening of our 1st international art show ProCreative that saw over 40 attendees at the opening party. In an effort that truly fosters a parallel culture of life, FCLNY brought together over a dozen pro-life artists, and is showcasing their artwork in an exhibit curated by Alisia Chase, PhD, Associate Professor of Art History at SUNY Brockport and FCLNY Board member.
- The ProCreative Art Exhibit remains open until December 14th, with a lecture and roundtable discussion on femininity and motherhood occurring on November 30th at 2:00pm, at FCLNY’s office headquarters.
This upcoming spring, FCLNY will host a webinar featuring two acclaimed professors, including Sarah Hamersma, PhD, Associate Professor of Public Administration and International Affairs at Syracuse University. The webinar will address issues pertinent to pro-life feminism. Stay tuned for this important discussion!
Please plan to join our quarterly, virtual FCLNY Book & Film Club in 2025, which traverses topics related to the Consistent Life Ethic, pop culture and postmodernism. Our latest virtual club covered the film Blonde, and contrasted mainstream narratives that women need abortion to professionally achieve with the ethics of pro-life feminism.
We are beyond grateful for our opportunity this summer to join an incredible panel of speakers at St. Bernard’s 1st Annual Life Issues Series, Igniting the Next Generation. Visit our Scholarly Events webpage to see portions of FCLNY’s presentation.

COMMUNITY ENCOUNTERS
Come 2025, FCLNY will bring attention to human trafficking on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, January 11th, 2025, and highlight the links between sex trafficking and abortion and practical solutions. Upcoming community encounters will also include our steadfast participation at the National March for Life, and our attendance at the Students for Life of America Pro-Life Summit.
This August and September, we tabled at the Great NYS State Fair in Syracuse for 13 days and met hundreds of new faces and distributed almost one thousand pieces of literature, buttons, informational palm cards, and more!

MEDIA OUTREACH
FCLNY works diligently to receive earned media coverage that spans across the entirety of New York State. Our educational op-eds succinctly raise awareness on the root causes and impacts of publicly sanctioned lethal violence, in the context of hot button issues affecting New Yorkers, and beyond.
In September, the USA Today Network published, an FCLNY op-ed titled, New York should not enshrine transgender rights for minors. Parents need a say, which appeared in over 10 local news outlets statewide.
In October, we engaged in an exclusive, live interview with the great Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan in New York City, to speak about the dangers of Prop One and how the amendment would hurt New Yorkers from every walk of life.
Most recently, our Deputy Outreach Coordinator, Sarah Prentice, wrote an essay titled, Suffragists generally were not supporters of abortion, published in print in the Democrat & Chronicle’s Sunday Newspaper, November 10. This piece exposes the false narrative that Susan B. Anthony and other suffragists supported abortion rights for women.
Your support is vital in reaching more people. Please consider making a one-time donation or becoming a monthly donor. Educating the public is impossible without your support.

PROJECTS THAT EMPOWER
FCLNY remains dedicated to advancing non-violent solutions, such as adoption. In 2025, we will be launching a campaign focused on destigmatizing adoption and birth mothering, and outlining the comprehensive benefits available to pregnant women who choose adoption rather than abortion. Please see our Adoption Resource Index, which we’re ramping up to strategically promote.

GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGNS
Radio stations across New York, regularly air FCLNY’s Public Service Announcements, which increases our impact and reach and informs the public about the data, science and philosophy underlying topics within the Consistent Life Ethic and pro-life feminism.
Here is an example of a radio ad that aired this summer:
Chemical abortion kills human beings and increases health risks for women. The dangers of medication abortion include hemorrhaging and pelvic inflammatory disease. Ingesting tele-health, mail order abortion pills without an in-person appointment further threatens women. Studies show violent partners and sex traffickers coerce a sizable percentage of women into abortions. Join the growing pro-life feminist movement at Feminists Choosing Life of New York. Org.
Without you, we cannot reach the millions of people that we do. We need your support. Elevating our voices is crucial to protecting women and children, and building a culture of life.
