Our Conservation Youth Crews are working hard on Nature Trust properties across BC.
Every summer, The Nature Trust of BC
hires post-secondary students to tackle a variety of projects from restoring wetlands, to monitoring wildlife, while learning valuable skills for future employment.
The crews are trained in First Aid, Bear Aware, and the safe handling of power tools.
They also attend workshops by specialists on topics such as bird counts and forest and wetland ecology. This is a great way for them to gain hands-on experience.
Many of them go on to careers in conservation.
