A Heart Contrite and Humble 

Oh, Lord my God, in today’s scripture readings we again clearly hear the call to repentance and conversion of mind and heart, the message we received on Ash Wednesday to “ turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel.” I pray for Your grace today and each day of this Lenten Season to hear this call to reform my heart and will according to Your will. Give me the power of Your grace each day to have a repentant heart, not only this Lent but in the future days of my life that You give me here on this earth. You have been generous with the grace of Your forgiveness and mercy, I beg should to make use of the sacrament of reconciliation to be renewed in heart and mind.

Hear my prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
