At St. Vincent Health every patient is a neighbor, a friend, or a family member. Every effort — seen or unseen — makes a difference. And I see every day how our staff steps up with dedication, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose.

I want to honor the trust and support of our wider community. You remind us that this hospital is more than just a building — it’s a cornerstone of care, comfort, and continuity for generations past, present, and future.

St. Vincent Health is celebrating National Hospital Week, May 12-16. During Hospital Week, and always, we celebrate you — our team, our families, and our community. Thank you for standing with us, growing with us, and believing in the power of local healthcare.

"Paramedics in Leadville rushed me to the emergency room at St. Vincent Health one morning in March. I didn’t know it, but I was in the throes of a heart attack. I wasn’t there long, for as soon as the helicopter arrived I was loaded into it and flown to Swedish Medical Center in Denver. While I was in the ER I received excellent care. Unquestionably, the paramedics and staff at the hospital did what was needed, thus saving my life. Thank you, a million times, over; I am eternally grateful!"

Scholarship News!

The Leadville Community Health Foundation (formerly the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation), was very honored to present a $4,000 scholarship to Leonela Saucedo on April 15.

Leonela’s education goals align with the foundation's mission, as she has aspirations to attend Colorado Mountain College to become an X-ray technician while she pursues her future goal of being a radiologist.

We congratulate Leonela for her achievements and wish her the very best as she continues to follow her dreams.
