PAKISTAN DAY PARADE IN CHICAGO

This week episode will feature..
- On August 12th, 71st Pakistan Independence Day Festival 2017 organized by Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce (PACC) and Safeer e Pakistan at LA Palma Park in Anaheim. The success of this event was beyond imagination and expectation of the organizers. The community of Los Angeles, all the Pakistan Americans, young, old, thousands and thousands of them came with their friends and family at this year's event which featured 80 plus booths, a mini parade on the ground and exhilarating performance by Shiraz Upal and Afzal Haider, making this event a mega success. Many high officials including but not limited to Consul General of Pakistan Mr. Abdul Jabbar Memon, Dr. Sohail Masood, Chairman Kabafusion, Chairman, Congresswoman Judy Chu, LAPD, FBI, Anaheim PD, Mayor, Pro Tem Mayor attended the event. The event embarked with the mini parade in the ground followed by national songs by local singers as well as Pakistan and Sub-continent's lead singer, composer, director, Shiraz Upal and young Afzal Haider from New York. Arshad and Shazia Ali along with outher local performers warmed up the community with national songs. This is the first time the event was held in City of Anaheim at this large scale. The management of Anaheim City was overjoyed to see such a large crowd which was beyond their expectation. The city officials was happy that the organizers chose this venue to have the independence day celebration. The crowed expressed their joy to have the event at this venue which is a park where family was able to picnic on the ground on soft grass enjoying the food and music through out the evening. . Not only Pakistani but other ethnic community members came in from all over LA and truly enjoyed the event with full enthusiasm. The overall participation of every community made this event one of the memorable one and will be remembered for years to come.
- Pakistani Americans from Chicago and its suburbs celebrate Independence Day with patriotic zest. Several places had a big event like Glendale Heights and Bolingbrook The main Independence Day ceremony takes place in Downtown Chicago, where the national flag is hoisted on the Daley Plaza building. It is followed by the national anthem. On Devon Avenue they organized Parade. Devon Avenue is considered as a little Pakistan. This past weekend the Hundreds of Pakistani Americans, including Children, Youngsters, Men, Older People New Generation, and seniors are accumulated in Devon Ave Chicago Illinois. Sunday, August 14, 2017 to commend the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan. In Chicagoland Pakistani Americans celebrates Sunday, August 13, 2017. The parade was organized by Mera Pakistan USA and driven by Chairman Asif Malik and vice Chairman Mian Saqlain. Chairman Asif Malik is a reputable Community Member and a Social Worker. Mian Saqlain is also Well-known Community Leader.
