Holy Week Reflections: A Message from Pastor Don
I’ve been reading one story after another in the Bible of God meeting people where they hurt. Though their situations vary, the conditions don’t. They are trapped. Estranged. Rejected. Lonely. Disappointed. They have nowhere to turn. On their lips, a desperate prayer. In their hearts shattered dreams and disappointment. Yet, standing before them is a Galilean who majors in stepping in when everyone else steps out.

Why is the Bible full of these types of encounters? The purpose of these stories is not to tell us what Jesus did. Their purpose is to tell us what Jesus does. They are historical moments in which a real God met real pain so we could know where He is when we face those similar feelings. He is there. He is alive. He delivers words of mercy, touches of kindness, and displays of power to forgive and heal our lives.
Maybe that’s what we have need of after this past year.

If so, then let’s join together to witness the empty tomb and encounter our living Lord this Sunday. May we experience His resurrection power as He breathes new life in us.
We hope you will worship with us at one of our Easter Services:
  • 8:15 and 9:30 in the sanctuary for a Traditional service or
  • 9:30 and 10:45 in the gym for a contemporary service.

Worshiping Him Together,
Service Information: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday & Easter Sunday
This Thursday, we will hold a special Maundy Thursday Service @ 7pm in the Sanctuary. Pastor Don will lead us through a special message on the Pain of Betrayal that Jesus experienced.

Friday, April 2, we will have Good Friday Service @ 7pm in the Sanctuary. This service will feature lessons and carols of the passion of Christ.

Then, on Easter Sunday, we will have four services to choose from:
  • 8:15 Traditional Service in the Sanctuary & live-streamed
  • 9:30 Traditional Service in the Sanctuary (in-person only)
  • 9:30 Contemporary Service in the gym (in-person only)
  • 10:45 Contemporary Service in the gym & live-streamed

Because this is a special Sunday, we expect a large attendance. Masks and distancing are encouraged, but the Sanctuary and Gym will have open seating. Please be mindful of sharing the same spaces without any taped rows. We also would like everyone to remain mindful of congregating and traffic patterns as you enter and exit through our doors.

If you are uncomfortable with the changes to our shared space, we will also be offering online service during our normal 8:15 and 10:45 services, and encourage you to gather with your own family members to share with us in the service from home.

Finally, we will have a cross outside of the Sanctuary this weekend. You can bring flowers and leave them or stop for a photo with your family.
REMINDER: Childcare is available for children 6 weeks to 5 years during the 10:45 service.
Praise Alert! Confirmands grow their roots in Christ
Our 6th grade confirmands enjoyed a special weekend at New Frontier Camp this past weekend. Twenty one students spent the weekend braving the storms, crawling through a cave, working together to build and climb crate towers, and growing their roots in Christ. It was a wonderful weekend of friendship, fellowship and worship. We will have a special Confirmation Service for this year's class Sunday, April 11, at 9:30am in the Sanctuary.
Ready, Set, Hunt!
Thank you to everyone who donated candy or dedicated their time to stuffing Easter eggs for our Kids these past few weeks. Our children had a blast hunting eggs, and by the looks of their baskets, they went home with some sweet treats!
