You Made Our First Trails for Tails a Success!
A massive thank you to everyone who participated in SSPA's Trails for Tails!

You and our sponsors made this SSPA’s most successful fundraiser to date - and you raised $20K to help us save even more shelter dogs!

Thirty-six race participants’ fundraisers generated $8,454! Our incredible volunteer Noelle Fiore raised the most in an individual fundraiser: $1,400! Each and every one of you are rock stars!

Here are the winners:
  • 5K: Gregory Paige coming in at a 6:46 minute mile for 3.13 miles completed in 21:12
  • 10K: Sean Spencer coming in at an 8:52 minute mile for 6.21 miles completed in 55:06
  • 1/2 marathon: Tyler Randall coming in at an 8:01 mile for 13.1 miles completed 1:45:03

Amazing job to all of you and congrats!

If you signed up after the race start, expect your swag bags the weekend of June 5 and 6, as well as finishers medals for those who have already received their bags. Prizes for winners and fundraising will be on that same time line.

We truly can’t thank our incredible sponsors enough; this success wouldn’t have been possible without you:

SSPA and the dogs are so grateful for everyone’s support! You’re making a huge difference in the lives of shelter dogs!

We can’t wait to get our race on with you in Trails for Tails 2022!!!
Happy Tails
Big boy Giuseppe (formerly Odin) is by his new dad's side all the time now as they build their relationship!

Adopter Scottie said: "We are doing fine. He is curled around me with some puppy cuddles as I type this. He's a good boy and I love him. I'm so glad that I got to meet him and he's home with me. Thank you so much for all your help and all you've done for us."

Congratulations Giuseppe, and thank you Scottie for making this boy part of your family!
These two super-cute Stockton pups are among those who found their homes recently!

Hercules, top, and Aria found homes of their very own.

A huge congratulations to all of these lucky pups and their adopters!
Don’t forget: If you adopted through SSPA, we offer post-adoption counseling to help with your new dog’s transition into your home! Email sspadogs@gmail.com! You can send "Happy Tails" updates there as well!

Adoptable Dogs in Foster
Roxy

This wonderful girl has captured all of our hearts, including her new foster's!

Foster Anthony says of this girl: "She's super sweet and is a great dog! I'm amazed by how great her temperament is!"

Roxy is house trained, good with children and loves playing in the water!

She’s truly an amazing girl!

Lunchbox (LB)

Lunchbox is one fabulous pup - truly a dream dog!

Just look at those puppy dog eyes. They're cute enough to melt anyone's heart!

And he's no just handsome!

He’s great with people, loves getting his play on with other pups, and we suspect he might do well with kids!

He'd prefer a home without cats.

He recently landed in a new foster home and fit in immediately and seamlessly with the resident dogs!

Ready to bring this rock star home?! Fill out an adoption application.
Homer

This handsome dude is a volunteer favorite!

He takes a little time to warm up to people, so he’s looking for a patient and understanding family.

He could be paired with a well-matched female dog in his new home.

Once you gain his trust, he does zoomies and flops over for belly rubs!

Ready to bring him home?! Fill out an adoption application.
Barry

This adorable boy is a dream dog!

He's a rock star in every way. We think he may not be able to hear but that doesn’t stop him from being all-around wonderful!

His favorite thing is to roll over for belly rubs and we think he’d be a great fit for a family with children.

Ready to take in this adorable dude? Fill out an adoption application today!
Princess

This little one is finally safe in foster after living on the streets for a while.

She's very sweet and is OK with other dogs.

She's looking for a special adopter who will continue to help her build confidence and work on her fear issues. Her person will need to be patient as she takes some time to acclimate to new people and handling.

A quiet home without young children would be best for her.

Ready to open your heart and home to this girl?! Fill out an adoption application.
