Campaign Kick-Off Fundraiser

at Janet Bledsoe Lacey's Home in Oceanside

Jimmy shares his Oceanside Story with over 100 supporters in attendance

Project Reach Libby Lake Alums and past MLK Jr. Scholar recipients share the impact that Jimmy's mentorship had on their lives and the influence he continues to have.

Community Campaign Launch

at John Landes Park in Oceanside

Event volunteers arrived early to help set up tables and chairs generously provided by a local business, Ashley's Party Rentals. (ashleyspartyrentals.com)

"Our volunteers truly made the Community Launch possible and were vital in the success of this event and its related activities."

Attendees and kiddos were able to join the free arts and crafts stations provided by Melissa who donated her material, time and skills for this event.

This event was buzzing with energy as John Landes Park in Tri-City was full of community love with well over 100 supporters in attendance.

Community Connection

"Reengaging our formerly incarcerated community back into society"

at Hill Street Country Club in Oceanside

Speakers and artists shared the challenges they faced when re-entering society and the resiliency built throughout the process.

"Intentionally working to reengage our formerly incarcerated community members back into society is public safety and economic development."

Community and systems of support proved critical when overcoming never ending uphill battles.

Jimmy concluded the event by sharing his lived experiences and offering his insight and collaborative solutions.

Together, we can implement best practice strategies and programs rooted in healing and serving people.

Another successful and well attended event filled to capacity!

Connecting, uniting, and bringing people together is a major priority for our campaign. It is going to take a community effort to win this election in 2024 and bring impactful change to Oceanside.

Your support will help us hire Oceanside locals for the campaign and provide materials for us to pass out while walking our district meeting with residents starting the new year.
