and much more!

Fiesta Time is almost here!

Door-to-door Fiesta flyers have been distributed throughout the nearby streets of our surrounding neighborhood, and we are looking forward to a happy turnout on our Spirit of Joy campus this coming Sunday following church. We hope that many of our congregation will be there to welcome all for this fifth annual event.

Come for the fellowship… and the tacos, hot dogs, mariachis and Folklorico dancers! Come for some fun on Sunday, May 3rd!

Last week, Dr. Yvonne De La Rosa, executive director of Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin, reached out to Spirit of Joy to let us know that Teatro is hosting some exciting guests in Seguin this weekend who are connected to The Blackwell Alliance in Marfa.

Daniel Hernandez, President of The Blackwell Alliance, John “Rusty” Lujan, Vice President of The Blackwell Alliance, Sehila Mota Casper, Executive Director of Latinos in Heritage Conservation (they are a thought partner and technical advisor to The Blackwell School; they are also helping establish a mobile exhibit for The Blackwell School), and Cristobal Lopez, Texas Program Manager with the National Parks Conservation Association will be at Teatro filming and preserving stories of Juan Seguin Alumni.

The Blackwell Alliance runs the Blackwell School, a museum of the Mexican school in Marfa, and now a National Parks Historic Site. You can read more about it HERE. These distinguished guests will also be joining us at our Spring Fiesta and Juan Seguin Reunion.

This is a very exciting opportunity for us to meet them and establish connections as we move forward with our own redevelopment of the Juan Seguin campus! We are grateful to Dr. De La Rosa for making the connection and look forward to hosting them this Sunday.

Breeze is now Tithely:

Our online church directory, BREEZE, is now part of a larger company that offers a variety of services to congregations: TITHELY.

Tithely acquired Breeze in August 2021 and has since integrated it into their comprehensive, all-in-one platform for churches. As of late 2025, Breeze Church Management is officially recognized as Tithely Church Management. You may begin seeing the word Tithely showing up on screen as you use Breeze.

Currently you do not need to change how you are using our beloved Breeze. But if changes are introduced, we will make sure you are informed.
