Confirmation Sunday:

We invite you to join us on Sunday, June 8th, as we celebrate a special and meaningful occasion, the Affirmation of Baptism for Mason Matocha. This is a significant milestone in the faith journey of our young members.

As is the tradition at Spirit of Joy, Mason has chosen a non-profit to support in lieu of receiving any confirmation gifts.

Mason started The Weinert Locker when he was in 1st grade (April of 2018) because he wanted to help kids. Now his younger brother, Madden, continues to lead The Locker.

Help Needed for Music Camp: August 4 through August 6

Spirit of Joy will be offering a wonderful summer musical experience for children (who have completed 2nd grade through 5th grade).

We need 2 Group Leaders in each of our different classes the children will attend. We have 4 class tracks, so 8 volunteers are needed. These could be anyone (including teenagers) interested in staying with their particular group, moving the class to their next location, and accompanying children to the restroom, etc.

We also need 5 volunteers who will plan, prepare, and serve lunch to these groups. Music Camp will be held Monday through Wednesday, August 4th-6th. There will be about 6-8 children receiving lunch at a specific time.

*If needed, we could have different volunteers on different days.

Spirit of Joy Fellowship Friday:

Once is not enough! To celebrate the start of summer, Arlynn and Nancy Hartfiel are hosting our 2nd Friendship Friday, June 20th, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, at their home: 314 Montwood in Seguin.

There will a Fajita Bar, lemonade, tea, water and some adult beverages. Games (for kids and adults both) are available. The pool water is great so bring your suit to swim or stand in the pool with your adult beverage.There is plenty of space on the patio to sit and visit.

Please bring lawn chairs - in case seating becomes a problem.

Fun Summer Workshop:

Come help paint, glue, cut, and prepare new items for Godly Play, the Prayground and the Christmas play.

When: Monday, June 9

Where: Spirit of Joy

Time: 9:30am-Finished

Snacks will be provided. Come eat, enjoy fellowship and work at the same time!

Refreshments Needed in June:

Refreshments (juice/bakery items) are needed for June 15th and 29th.

If you want to help provide refreshments, the signup sheet (by the Flower signup) is on the resource table at the back of the sanctuary.
