Mondays with Pastor Megan:

Have you always wanted to have some time to sit down with Pastor Megan with just a few other folks and share a meal in a relaxed setting away from church? OR, possibly even better, share pizza with Dieter at his house without his mom around?

Well, that opportunity is here!

On select Monday evenings between 5:00 and 7:00 you will have the opportunity to sign-up to either have a meal with Pastor Megan or spend time with Dieter at his house while Pastor Megan is away.

This is how it will work.

There will be sign-up sheets on the tables in the back of the church for either supper with Pastor Megan or Pizza with Dieter.

*Two to three couples or individuals or combination of both can sign-up for any of the times; allowing for more fellowship amongst the members.

*Pastor Megan will have pizza at her house for Dieter and those sharing time with him. Pastor Megan will take care of all bedtime duties; those choosing to be with him can just enjoy that time!

*Those spending time with Pastor Megan will select the “venue” for the evening; a local restaurant, picnic in the park, a meal at your home, whatever. The only thing to remember is that Pastor Megan would like to be home by 7:00pm for Dieter.

Following are the dates for the first several months:

• Monday, March 17
• Monday, March 31
• Monday, April 7
• Monday, April 28
• Monday, May 12
• Monday, May 19

Lenten Suppers:

Before every midweek Lenten Service, different SOJ groups will be providing a pre-service meal starting at 6:00 p.m.  There is no charge, but a free-will offering is available. 

The next pre-service meal (Salads) will be on Wednesday, March 19th.

If you have not yet enjoyed these casual, stress-free meals, put them on your calendars!

SOJ Outdoor Workday:

It's Spring Cleaning Time around the Spirit of Joy property. All are welcome to join us on Saturday, March 22, beginning at 8:00am for an outdoor workday. 

There will be a sandwich lunch. We will work until finished, by 3:00pm. There is a sign-up sheet on the resource table in the back of the sanctuary.

5th Sunday Benevolence:

Cross Trails Ministry is our first 5th Sunday Benevolence of 2025, which will be observed on

March 30th.

Make checks payable to Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church with memo line reading: for 5th Sunday Benevolence.

and beyond giving!

New Member Orientation:

Spirit of Joy will hold a New Member Orientation (in La Casita) on Saturday, April 5, from 10:00am

to 12:00pm.

SOJ's New Member Welcome Ceremony will be held during worship on Sunday, April 6.
