Trails at Elk City Lake , Montgomery County
There are six great hiking trails at Elk City Lake and State Park. Table Mound is a must. (p. 272)
People are raving about the all-new exhibits in the museum. It's so cool that we have a presidential museum in Kansas! (p. 54)
The Parachute Building, listed on the National Register, is now restored. It was used to dry, inspect, clean,and reassemble the parachutes of the B-29 crews that trained here. 620.933.2787. (p. 350)
Expect great presentation of intriguing menu items, like this Caribbean Blackened Chicken Salad. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
