Dear Friends,

As this Sunday, May 10, 2020, is Mother's Day, I would like to recognize all of our hard-working mothers and matriarchs of the family during these times of distress.

Year-long, I witness Davis Street's moms' strength, resilience, and hard work to provide food and shelter for their children and family. COVID-19 has made an even more dramatic impact on their lives, leading to loss of jobs, loss of homes, less or no income for food and supplies, and the added task of homeschooling due to school closures.

As a mother of 3 children, I can truly say a mom’s job is never done, and I understand the challenges that Davis Street's moms endure during economic hardships. Through these difficult times, our moms are not giving up, and instead working even harder to support their families. Please join me in thanking and honoring their courage by supporting our matriarchs this Mother's Day.  Click here to support the many moms and families that turn to us for childcare, medical care, and family support services.

 VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Meet Ed Hernandez.
