Dear Culver Summer Schools & Camps Families,
As we continue to adapt to these unpredictable times, please know that I send my thoughts and prayers to each of you and your families. Please take the necessary precautions and stay healthy.
The administrative staff at Culver continues to monitor the COVID-19 global pandemic. We are focused on evaluating the rapidly changing situation while planning for another amazing summer on the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee. Just this week, the first stage of the Naval Pier installation started and we continue to get new applications for attending Culver this summer.
We constantly teach our emerging leaders to lead no matter their position, while keeping their eyes and ears open. This is an opportunity for Culver to model our own expectations. We are well aware that there are concerns amongst our families regarding tuition payments, deposits and other costs associated with committing to the Culver Summer Schools and Camps program. We understand this is a unique situation and promise the following:
  • Culver will provide a full refund for any deposit and tuition paid if Culver decides to cancel our programming for 2020.
  • If you would like to cancel, out of an abundance of caution, you would also receive a full refund of the deposit and tuition.
We want you to feel comfortable committing to Culver. We will continue with our April 1 deadline to pay student tuition, which would secure a spot for your child. This will also provide us the opportunity to collect data on our student population for 2020. I will continue to stay in touch and provide updates in the coming weeks.
With schools closed and many other social restrictions in place, this is a perfect time to focus on Culver's mission: educating its students for leadership and responsible citizenship in society by developing and nurturing the whole individual - mind, spirit, and body - through integrated programs that emphasize the cultivation of character.
It is my belief that our world needs these character traits more than ever: leadership, citizenship and character. I also encourage everyone to find ways to stay active physically, mentally and spiritually.
Thank you for your continued patience, trust and understanding.
