This Sunday, August 3rd is National Sisters Day and National Friendship Day. Not surprising, since our sister if often our first friend. Maybe you have an amazing sister or sister-in-law. Maybe you have a friend who rocks!

Either way, I am sending this early so that you have time to send a sweet text, plan a coffee date, or drop a plant at her doorstep. Set a reminder in your phone and make their day!

I have amazing sister-in-laws and an awesome sister. Her name is Anne and she is the bomb. This picture of us was taken at the Art Institute of Chicago when she visited this year during spring break.

Anne has been there for me my whole life, but she was especially there for me this past year as I dealt with the loss of my husband Jon. He passed unexpectedly July 29th of last year. Area family gathered at our home to remember him and be together Tuesday night.

I have many dear family and friends who have helped us get through this year of firsts too. My childhood friends, Jen and Brigette have been there for us big time, as well as several others who have been lifesavers. We could not have made it without your love and support.

Thank you to ALL of you. I love you from the bottom of my heart!
