JULY IMPACT: $650,000 in Community Grants Awarded
This month, the 1889 Foundation proudly awarded more than $650,000 in funding to support health, education, and community development across Cambria and Somerset Counties. These investments are a testament to our mission to address social determinants of health and empower local organizations making a difference every day.
During July, we celebrated two major scholarship awards:
10 students completing the Paramedic Program at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center received full tuition scholarships, ensuring they enter the workforce debt-free and well-prepared.
5 students enrolled in the Surgical Technology Program also received financial support to complete their studies.
We’re proud to invest in the next generation of frontline professionals dedicated to improving lives in our region.
