I trust this email finds you well this holiday season.
I have some very exciting news to share with you. Earlier tonight at a special called meeting by the Frisco City Council, the Council approved a new development that includes the PGA of America relocating its headquarters to the City of Frisco. In addition to the headquarters campus, the development will also include an Omni resort, 45-holes of golf, 18-holes of which will be designed by Gil Hanse. The facility will be called PGA Frisco.
What is very exciting for the Northern Texas PGA is that PGA Frisco will also become the home of the Northern Texas PGA.
“Our vision from day one was to create a golf experience that was unique and innovative with an emphasis on kids and growing the game, while at the same time securing a permanent home for the Northern Texas PGA," said Mark Harrison, Executive Director and CEO of the Northern Texas PGA.
"More than 4 1/2 years ago during our first few meetings with representatives from the City of Frisco, it was readily evident that they shared a similar vision for the kids and residents of Frisco. After an introduction to Darrell Crall, the former Executive Director of the Northern Texas PGA who is now the COO of The PGA of America, what started as a vision for an urban golf park in the heart of Frisco quickly grew and evolved," said Harrison.
"With the collaboration of many people, our collective vision is now a reality with the announcement of PGA Frisco. This year, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Northern Texas PGA, we could not be more excited to soon call PGA Frisco home."

Lastly, thank you for all that each of you do to grow the game, and I trust you will have a prosperous and safe holiday season.
