CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JR., JANUARY 18
Members of the HPL team distributed 80 warm winter coats, bags of groceries, socks, and books at the Barbour Library last week, part of the library's continued efforts to make sure it is addressing the basic needs of the community.

2020 was a year when many literary lights left the stage.

Writers who mastered their genres and provided insight and entertainment like Mary Higgins Clark, Clive Cussler, Eric Jerome Dickey, John LeCarre, and Charles Portis.

We lost individuals who played an important role in American history, like John Lewis and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
