NextGen Leader Caleb Brown and PCCNA Secretary Lydia Thomas
|
In our NOW IS THE TIME Conference, PCCNA Secretary and United Pentecostal Council of the Assemblies of God Assisting Presiding Elder Lydia Thomas shared valuable insights with NextGen leader and Ministry Training Network President Caleb Brown. In this Malachi 4:6 moment, she reminds us, "We are all on the same side. This is not a competition. We are workers together in Christ."

“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse” (Malachi 4:5–6 NIV).

#DoingWhatJesusDid
NextGen Ministers Lead Seminar
|
The #DoingWhatJesusDid weekend was led by three NextGen pastors, who alternated teaching and leading activations for eight ministry skills. Using their phones, 21 people led a friend or family member to Jesus in the second activation. It was reminiscent of Joel’s army! More than 60 people were baptized in the Holy Spirit, and at least 40 people testified to experiencing supernatural healing of a physical ailment.

Planting a Church in a Pandemic
Independent AOG, Canada
|
After almost nine years on the mission field in South Africa, Pastors David and Krista Meisner of the Independent Assemblies of God, Canada, felt the Holy Spirit calling them to return home. Little did they know that God was transitioning them from being missionaries to pastors to eventually become church planters in their home nation.
Beginning with backyard meetings and VBS to reach the next generation, they then launched midweek services. After an online evangelistic thrust in a small Saskatchewan community of about 150 people, they now have a thriving church with a congregation of more than 50, and it all began during a pandemic!

How Do I Honour My Family
When We’re So Different?
|
Every single person’s life begins in the context of family. This is where we draw a sense of identity, a sense of belonging, and even a sense of worth. What unites a family beyond genetics, could be faith, culture, hardship, hobbies, or physical home. But one thing that is always true without fail, is how different every family member is. As everyone gets older, the things that united the family, may not seem as significant anymore and differences may become much more apparent.
Children's Pastor Jessica Chen, with Coastal Church in Vancouver, Canada, explores four ways in which we can still honor and love our families no matter how different they are from us, particularly in how we speak.
