A Message From General Manager, Beth Davis
Dear Members, Residents & Friends of the North Palm Beach Country Club,

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a great holiday season and you are excited about the new year and new opportunities!
I am very excited to announce that NPBCC has been chosen as a Distinguished Golf Destinations from Boardroom magazine in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide.

This is a prestigious award that identifies the top resorts, semi private, daily fee & public golf courses in the country on the most important aspect, the Member for A Day Experience

Out of 1500 clubs that have been evaluated, only 212 clubs have currently achieved and maintained the Distinguished Club status, so I am very proud that we are joining this new alliance.

I will be sharing more information once we complete the onboarding process.
Golf has experienced record-setting amounts of activity during the first quarter of the fiscal year. We are seeing some stress on the course, but Allan & his team are slowing it down a bit on Mondays so the grass can recover.

Single carts over the summer (due to COVID), excessive rain these past two months and the recent cold snaps haven’t helped, so Cory and the maintenance crew will be increasing fertilizer applications to help it regain its stamina.

Other golf projects that are almost complete are the driving range mat replacement and the power installation to the golf course bathrooms. As Allan reported last month, the bunker repair work will re-convene in May and the lake bank repair on #9 and #18 will occur later this summer.

Please contact Assistant Professional, Chris Dachisen at (561) 691-3424 for information on the upcoming Nine & Dine, Men’s Pro-Am, Winter Club Championship, Nicklaus Cup and Club Championship tournaments.
SAVE THE DATE for Super Bowl Sunday and Valentine’s Day Weekend!

Farmer’s Table is celebrating both so call (561) 691-3430 to make your reservations!

If you haven’t heard, the Club has created a new Social Dining Membership with Farmer’s Table. This membership is available to both resident and non-residents of the Village.

Existing members can also add this social feature to their current membership category if desired. If you are a frequent diner and enjoy preferred reservations, preferred pricing and special events, this is the membership for you.

CLICK HERE for benefit and membership description. For information, please call Membership Coordinator, Lenore Dingle, at (561) 691-3438.
Team Tennis matches have begun and “BANG BANG” tennis is here!

Mike will provide this invigorating cardio-vascular workout each Tuesday at 6 p.m., Wednesday at 8 a.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is highly recommended, so simply call the shop at (561) 691-3425 for information and to reserve your spot.

We are planning some COVID-safe events towards the end of the season, including an “end-of-season” team event and Wimbledon at NPB, so stay tuned!

The activity has really picked up at the Tennis Center, so please take advantage of your Tennis Membership benefit, and make those court-times 7-days in advance!

Morning courts and parking go fast but parking is available in the north lot if needed. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle, more courts are available in the afternoon and evening.

Please remember, we require all players to register in the pro shop prior to entering the courts. Due to the social distancing requirements, we will continue the one-way entrance and exit to ensure the safety of our members and guests.

We thank you for your patience and understanding in advance!
Normally closed on Mondays for maintenance, the NPBCC Swimming Pool will be open on Mon., January 18th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day from 10 a.m-4:45 p.m.

Diving boards will open at 12:30 p.m. and the Snack Shack will be open all day. Splash Pad rental for families up to eight people is still available, please call (561) 691-3427 to make your reservation.
The NPB Recreation Department will hold their annual “HOT CARS” show on January 30th

This year we won’t be offering the chili cook-off, but this is still a fun outdoor activity that can be enjoyed by all at safe distances.

This year’s car show will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Anchorage Park. Call (561) 841-3386 for more information!
The Village Library will be hosting “Books & Bites” on Monday, March 15th, in the NPB Country Club’s Ballroom.

The $26 program includes lunch from Farmer’s Table and features NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, Marie Bostwick, author of 19 books.

Her newest book, The Restoration of Celia Fairchild, examines the life of an advice columnist from Charleston who is good at helping other people with their problems but struggles mightily with her own. Marie will discuss her newest book and answer questions from the audience.

Please call the Library by March 10th to reserve your spot at (561) 841-3383.
