MEMBER UPDATE
IBA Members,

Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-26: Roadmap to Reopen Indiana requires businesses reopening to develop a plan to ensure a safe environment for their employees, customers, clients, and members by Monday, May 11.

The Executive Order lays out the requirements for the plan in item 4, page 4, including providing it to each employee and posting it publicly. Generally, the plan for your business should include certain safeguards and comply with CDC recommendations and IOSHA Standards. Employers should also think carefully about the guidance in item 5, page 4 and item 6, page 5 of the Executive Order.

Plan for Safeguards is a one-page template, provided by IBA member Mark Shublak at Ice Miller, that you can use to create a plan for your business. This is not legal guidance, and you should consider consulting with counsel in preparing a fact-sensitive plan for your business.

“This simple plan will continue to help Indiana get back on track as we recover from COVID-19,” said IBA CEO Rick Wajda.

Additionally, the CISC Coronovirus Preparedness and Response Plan for Construction is an in-depth resource outlining the steps that every employer and employee can take to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Please let us know if there are additional resources you need to work safely.
Thank you,
Rick Wajda | Chief Executive Officer
