Plans for the Upcoming Ordination
We continue to join in prayer with our
Brothers Michael Chiuri
and
Brandon Paluch
as they prepare for Ordination. They will be on retreat from August 3-8. Please keep them in your prayers.
Bishop Kevin Vann
has indicated that he stands ready to come to St. Louis to proceed with the Ordination.
The Ordination will take place at Our Lady of the Pillar in St. Louis on Saturday, August 22. As a province, we continue to try and deal with our current world situation and the rules of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the County of St. Louis and the State of Missouri. In dealing with the limits on gathering size, we are going to be live streaming the Ordination. Seating is limited and safety precautions will be observed.
The next statement is said cautiously. We invite one member from each community to be present for the Ordination. Please take into account your safety, the safety of others and making a decision in the context of a community conversation. We also understand that many of us are in special health situations and that a community may prefer to send prayers for the Ordination and not send a representative.
Community Directors are asked to please contact
Fr. Tim Kenney
by August 1 and inform him if your community will be sending a representative to the Ordination. Housing will be arranged for these community representatives.
The Ordination invitations/announcements will be mailed to communities with other information before the end of July.
