COVID-19 has hit our community hard, but Bessie Green Community is working around-the-clock to help our vulnerable neighbors who need us now more than ever. We have rapidly mobilized to bring critical resources to those in need. We will devote 100% of your donation to help families who are in food insecurity and need emergency meals.
Your generous support allowed us to make a great impact with the following notable accomplishments in 2020 as we fulfill our mission of feeding, clothing and supporting our neighbors with compassion and dignity.
- 14,865 Community Grab & Go Meals
- 22, 130 Food Pantry Bags
- 3,500 Veggie Boxes
- 32,000 clothing bags from Jo’s Closet Clothing Barn
- 4,100 loaves of bread in the month of December in Bread Donations
- Distributed over 250,000 pounds of food providing meals to over 150,000 Newark families in multiple Citywide Drive-Through Food Distributions
