A Message from the President

Dear Sea Devil Community,

Cape Fear Community College celebrated a historic milestone on May 8 as we recognized the largest graduating class in the college’s history. This year, 1,426 graduates earned a combined 1,759 credentials, reflecting both the growing demand for higher education and the important role CFCC plays in preparing the workforce for our region.

These graduates will help meet critical workforce needs across southeastern North Carolina in healthcare, public safety, skilled trades, education, business, and many other industries that strengthen our local economy and community.

Many of our graduates are also continuing their educational journeys by transferring to four-year colleges and universities across North Carolina and beyond. Their success highlights CFCC’s role in creating affordable pathways to bachelor’s degrees and expanded career opportunities for students throughout our community.

This record-setting commencement comes during a year of continued growth for the college. CFCC has experienced strong enrollment increases throughout the academic year, and early indicators point to continued momentum heading into the fall semester. As our community continues to grow, CFCC remains focused on expanding access, strengthening partnerships, expanding workforce training opportunities, and enhancing university transfer pathways that support both student success and regional economic development.

We are grateful for the continued support of our community, business leaders, and partners who help make these achievements possible.
