Dear Sea Devil Community,
August brought another memorable commencement to Cape Fear Community College. It is always such a pleasure to celebrate with our graduates as they conclude one phase of their journey and embark on the next stage of their educational or occupational pursuits. We are excited to see what lies ahead for our graduates as they join the thousands of CFCC alumni making a difference in our community.
As the season begins to change, we are delighted to welcome new and returning students to our campus for fall classes.
As our campus community grows, I am happy to announce a new leadership role. Shawn Dixon is now the Provost of the College's North Campus. Having served at CFCC for 26 years, Shawn brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of Cape Fear Community College’s unique strengths and challenges. In his new position, Dixon will provide strategic leadership and operational management to the Career and Technical Education division while also serving as the senior administrator for the North Campus.
For the fourth consecutive year, CFCC’s Associate Degree Nursing program has been ranked number one in North Carolina by NursingProcess.org. It is an honor to again be recognized by a reputable authority in nursing education. This accolade is a testament to our ongoing dedication to delivering an exceptional learning environment that equips nursing professionals to meet the dynamic healthcare needs of our community.
The steady rise in our student enrollment reflects CFCC’s commitment to offering quality education at an affordable cost. Additionally, through the newly introduced Drop-In Childcare Center, CFCC is working to eliminate one of the obstacles that often prevents student-parents from pursuing their educational aspirations. This new resource for students underscores our commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for success as well as our dedication to removing any significant barriers our students may face.
We always value your ongoing support, and we're excited to share stories that demonstrate the positive impact we're making in our community.
Sincerely,
|
