A Message from the President

President Jim Morton

At Cape Fear Community College, strong partnerships with local businesses are the key to building a skilled workforce and a thriving community. Our students succeed when given real-world opportunities, and our region prospers when businesses help shape and support the next generation of professionals.

Becoming an apprenticeship partner is one of the most impactful ways to get involved with CFCC. Apprenticeships allow businesses to train employees in the specific skills they need while giving students hands-on experience and a clear pathway to meaningful careers. These partnerships are truly win-win. Companies gain motivated team members, and students gain invaluable knowledge, income, and career advancement opportunities.

Another essential way businesses can support our mission is by serving on advisory boards for our workforce programs. Advisory board members play a vital role in ensuring that our programs align with industry needs. By sharing expertise and insights, you help us prepare students with the most relevant skills, technologies, and practices to meet the demands of today's workforce.

I invite you to join us in this important work. Whether through apprenticeships, advisory boards, or other collaborative opportunities, your partnership with CFCC makes a difference for our students and the strength and growth of our entire community. Together, we can build pathways to success and ensure that our region continues to grow and prosper.
