A Message from the President

Dear Sea Devil Community,

Fall has arrived, and we find ourselves at the midway point of the fall semester. Before we know it, we will be preparing for the end of the semester and winter break.

Our Fall Open Houses will take place on November 9 and November 14. These events are an excellent opportunity for prospective students to tour the campuses and learn more about CFCC. Faculty and staff will be on hand to answer questions about our programs, student athletics and clubs, admissions, and more.

If you're a student looking to make academic strides, now's the time to register for our winter session. These intensive, 4-week online courses provide an excellent opportunity for students to accrue transferable credits toward their degree, fulfill prerequisites, and ease the course load for the upcoming semester.

We take great pride in announcing that our Associate Degree Nursing program has received recognition as the fifth-ranked program in the southeastern region. This prestigious evaluation involved a total of 731 schools, and we extend a well-deserved round of applause to our dedicated faculty and staff for their ongoing dedication to nurturing highly skilled and proficient nurses.

Earlier this year, CFCC was selected as one of four community colleges nationwide to be featured in Lumina Foundation's "Inside Out" series. The video which focuses on what makes CFCC unique is now available to view.

This year marks the 20th milestone anniversary of our Nuclear Technology associate degree program. Please take a moment to read about our 20 years of excellence in nuclear technology education in this EdNC Perspectives article and explore how we are elevating our program through strategic educational and professional partnerships.

CFCC has just launched an exciting podcast series, Sea Devil Sessions - University Transfer Edition. In these captivating episodes, University Transfer Dean Lucinda McNamara engages faculty members in enlightening conversations about their roles at CFCC. We invite you to listen to these Sea Devil Sessions.

Lastly, artwork from our talented faculty will be on display from November 7, 2023, to January 12, 2024. Visit the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery to explore the 2023 CFCC Faculty Exhibition.

Thank you for your support and dedication to the success of our school.
