A Message from the President

President Jim Morton

Dear Sea Devil Community,

November is a month for reflection and gratitude, and I find myself filled with immense appreciation for the incredible individuals and organizations that make Cape Fear Community College such a special place. Each day, I am reminded of our college's profound impact on the lives of so many, thanks to the collective efforts of our students, employees, and community partners.

First and foremost, to our students:

You are the reason behind everything we do. Each day, you demonstrate determination, creativity, and perseverance. Your efforts inspire our employees and renew our commitment to the College’s mission.

To the CFCC employees:

Your dedication to our students and the College is what makes us successful. Your hard work, expertise, and passion create an environment where dreams are nurtured and realized. You are the backbone of our institution, and your impact on our students empowers them to achieve more and strive for lifelong success.

To our donors:

Thank you for believing in our mission and investing in the future of our students. Your generosity provides opportunities that transform lives and strengthen our community. From scholarships to program support, your contributions make an immeasurable difference.

To our community members:

Your support and encouragement remind us that we are not just a community college but an integral part of the foundation of New Hanover and Pender Counties. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives and partnering with us to address the needs and aspirations of the Cape Fear region.

Finally, to our business and industry partners:

We are grateful for your collaboration, investment, and shared vision for workforce development. Together, we equip students with the skills and experiences needed to excel in their careers and meet the demands of a rapidly changing world.

Each of you is vital in making Cape Fear Community College an extraordinary place. It is through the collective strength of our students, employees, donors, community members, and partners that we continue to fulfill our mission and make a lasting impact. Together, we are not just shaping futures; we are shaping a stronger, more vibrant Cape Fear region.
