I am writing with exciting news and an important request. First, the exciting news! Many of you know Clayworks has been in dire need of a new roof for some time, and the heavy rainfall of early 2017 made this a much more urgent demand to prevent damage to our studio home. Thanks in part to a private grant, I am happy to report that a new roof was professionally installed this spring with minimal disruption to our studios. While we did not anticipate this happening so quickly, it is because of our strong financial standing that we were able to make this happen.
Clayworks relies on contributions from you to continue successfully serving our students, our studio artists, and people all across our community through our community impact programs. As we approach the end of our fiscal year on June 30, I hope you will consider making a gift to help us reach our financial goals. We are less than $5,000 away from reaching our goal to keep us in strong financial standing. Small gifts add up quickly; we hope you will consider a gift of any size before June 30.
