From Saint Mark’s earliest days, justice work has always been integral to our identity as a Christian community. Our understanding of faith bears a commitment to this important work. It is holy work; it is our spiritual work even as we seek to serve others.
As we enter this new post-pandemic era, we have an opportunity to refine our approach to the work of justice and peace and the ways it takes shape in this cathedral community. I invite everyone in the Saint Mark’s community to attend a day retreat on Saturday September 9, 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m. in Bloedel Hall as we engage this effort—Next Steps in a New Era. All are welcome. Registration is required so we can account for food and room setup.
The world in which we live needs our witness of God’s restorative justice and love now as much as ever. Here we stand; we can do no other. I encourage you to join this conversation.
Blessings and peace,
