Dear Barrington 220 Community,
I am writing to share the very sad news that one of our educators, Nicole Weldzius, a dedicated STEM teacher at North Barrington Elementary, has unexpectedly passed away.
Ms. Weldzius was a cherished member of the Barrington 220 community. Before her STEM position at North Barrington, Ms. Weldzius taught students in our Spanish Dual Language program at Roslyn Road Elementary and Countryside Elementary. In addition to her work in the school district, the Weldzius family lives in our community. This loss is profound, and we mourn alongside all those whose lives were touched by Ms. Weldzius across several of our school communities.
We understand this news may be difficult for students and families to process. We are working closely with counselors and support staff to ensure resources are available for anyone who may need help coping with this loss.
