Dear Worcester Preparatory Community,

I promised you another communication for early this week in my video last week. I apologize for the delay, but wanted to give you some more information about our return to campus plan for the 2020-2021 school year.

Our Mallard Strong Task Force continues to meet weekly and are processing the information we receive from Governor Hogan, the Maryland Department of Education, AIMS and NAIS. This is an ever-changing educational landscape, just as it is in other sectors of our society. I will continue to communicate, mixing in written and video messages as we continue our planning for the upcoming year.

As of today, July 16, we are still planning to open on September 1 with students on campus full time. Early next week you will receive a comprehensive FAQ communication which will provide in detail our safety plan, schedule, updated cleaning routines, and a variety of other topics that will let you know how we are going to provide a rigorous educational program and keep our students, faculty and staff safe.

I appreciate and thank those that have reached out to welcome my family and me, as well as ask questions and offer suggestions on returning to campus safely. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns as the summer progresses.

Thank you. Stay informed, stay safe and stay Mallard Strong!
