A Message from Erin and Mark Ward:
We are beyond devastated to share that our amazing, beautiful, perfect Will passed away early this morning. While we are completely heart-broken and lost right now, we are also beyond grateful that Will was the absolute light of our lives, our whole entire universe. He filled every day with his limitless and endless love!!
We had a wonderful weekend together and he tragically passed from a sudden medical event. He fought bravely until the very end and we were by his side every moment.
Thank you for all of your love and support of our incredible, legendary, sweet Will. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as we navigate these devastating waters. We will continue to look to Will to guide us as he did so lovingly every day of his life.

A Note from Marie Wood:
There are people on this earth who seem too good for the rest of us, but it still feels wretchedly unfair when they leave. My dearest friends, Erin and Mark, are grieving the light of their lives--their precious, incredibly loved son, Will--who quite suddenly crossed the boundary between this life and the next the other day.
The brilliant, attentive, and considerate care he received from Mark, Erin, and his medical team was of the highest order, truly above and beyond imagining, something only those who walk this road can conceive. His parents' extraordinary love, dedication, and integrity--a model for myself and many others--enabled and empowered Will to experience and enjoy life to the greatest extent possible. This explains why he shared his parents' philosophy that--even in the midst of chronic, life-threatening illness and the highest medical complexity--life is good.
Being raised by such beautiful people, it's no wonder that Will had such a positive view of himself and his life as a person with Myotubular Myopathy. He had a passion to spread awareness of this rare disease and to help others in our community find their way, and that legacy lives on. Even through the simple act of living and receiving each fleeting present moment as a gift to be seized and spent, Will impacted the rest of us unforgettably. Will was and will ever remain a hero to our MTM-CNM family. We love you, Will! Keep shining brightly!! We know where you are, but oh how we miss your brave sweetness and your heart-melting smile!! Mark and Erin, you are in our hearts and our prayers for peace and mercy.
