A Message from the CEO and President
GBAPP, Inc. is on the MOVE!
On May 13th, I had the honor of moderating a virtual press conference in partnership with CONECT (Congregations Organized for a New Connecticut) and Health Equity Solutions in support of SB1. Included in this important bill is the requirement to standardize the collection of Race, Ethnicity, and Language (REaL) data. As you may know, the Bill was passed by our state legislators.
On June 5th we commemorated the 40th year of HIV/AIDS in America! During these 40 years, many advances have been made in the area of medical treatment and medications. We have lost people we know and love who lost their battle with this disease. We must pause to reflect and remember not only those who lost the battle but to lift and support long-term survivors who live out loud with HIV/AIDS today!
As we move beyond the 40 years, GBAPP, Inc. remains committed to working with our local, state, and national partners to provide quality and culturally competent HIV care and prevention services. The fight is far from being over. The rate of HIV continues to soar in underserved and unserved communities. Only together, we can get to zero!
