As St. John's continues to plan feasible and reasonable steps for the opening of school, we will determine, in collaboration with
state and local health officials and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), how to best prepare to open our campuses to students. It is impossible to eliminate all
risks; our goal is to take reasonable steps to mitigate the risk presented by the pandemic. According to current CDC Guidelines, “Schools can determine, in collaboration with
state and local health officials to the extent possible, whether and how to implement (CDC) considerations while adjusting to meet the unique needs and circumstances of the local community. Implementation should be guided by what is feasible, practical, acceptable, and tailored to the needs of each community.”
As members of our community, your input is also very important to us as we consider these guidelines. Keeping in mind that planning must remain adaptable and flexible in the face of this fluid situation, we would be very grateful if you would share your thoughts with us. Responses to the following brief survey reflect only your current perspectives, and are not binding on the School or families. We may administer this survey more than once over the summer, and your responses will be taken into consideration as we continue to plan. The survey will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 5.
