I began my career in Law Enforcement in 1986 with the Streamwood Police Department serving as a Police Cadet, Police Officer, and Evidence Technician.

In 1989, I joined the Schaumburg Police Department where I served as a Patrol Officer, Evidence Technician, Tactical Officer and Special Investigator. I was promoted to Sergeant in 1999, supervising both the Patrol and Investigation. During this time I also completed the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command as well as served as the Surveillance Commander of the Major Case Assistance Team (MCAT) from 2007-2009.

In 2009, I was promoted to Lieutenant where I served as the Watch Commander on the 1 st and 3 rd Watch in the Patrol Division. Shortly after I was promoted to the Administration Division Commander, I took on the responsibility of the annual budget, Accreditation process, Records Section, and police department training.

Some additional accomplishments are graduating from the 248 th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, graduating from Judson University with a Masters of Arts Degree in Business and Leadership, receiving the Northwestern Public Safety Executive Leadership Award for commitment to education and training, graduating from the 67 th Session of the Senior Management Institute for Police in Boston and serving on the Executive Board for the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.

Most recently, I was sworn in as Wauconda’s Police Chief. I would like to thank the Wauconda Elected Officials, Police Commission and residents of Wauconda for the confidence they have shown in appointing me. This is an awesome responsibility and I am humbled and honored to serve the Wauconda residents.
