Dear Great Hearts Irving Families,
Greetings. I am writing in follow up to Superintendent Scoggin’s letter from Friday announcing the two week delay to Great Hearts Irving’s return to campus. We are currently working to resolve an internet bandwidth stability issue at both campuses. While we have seen strong upload and download rates at times, we have also labored with persistent drops in these rates that disrupt zoom sessions and require the majority of our faculty to work remotely.
We are all saddened that our students are not in school with friends and teachers, and we all are looking forward to that day when our classrooms and playgrounds will again ring with their laughter. I am grateful for the faith and support our wonderful families have shown, cheering us on even as they labor patiently to support their own students. I am equally grateful for the long hours and determination that the faculty and school leaders have put into preparing and delivering virtual instruction.
Please know that we are at work even now to resolve the bandwidth issue and have all our attention set on being ready for Monday, September 21st.
I hope you and your family have a restful Labor Day weekend and we will keep you informed of our progress towards reopening.
