Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

During times such as these, we turn to God and our faith community for strength, comfort, and support. Most of us have not experienced the level of disruption we are currently facing in our daily lives. Now more than ever the most important thing we can do, and something that St. John’s does extremely well, is to take care of one another. To this end, our Pastoral Care team is putting together “Isolation Care Kits” for those who may contract the virus, as well as offering comfort and spiritual care, through regular check-ins, to those who live alone. Part of our responsibility to one another as siblings in Christ is to ensure that no one is left alone or disconnected from our faith community.

If you are hospitalized or quarantined, please keep us informed by calling the parish office (410-461-7793) or the on-call clergy phone (443-538-2806). If you need assistance with groceries, medication pickup, or a one-on-one pastoral care visit, we have members of the parish who are available to assist you. However, our primary focus will be on those who live alone and our most vulnerable members. If you would like to offer your gifts and time to support our Pastoral Care ministry, please contact me at [email protected] or Rev. Katrina at [email protected] .

Finally, I encourage you to pray for one another. Please check the St. John’s Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/stjohnsec.org/ ) and website ( www.stjohnsec.org ) for updates, prayers, worship, and daily encouragement.  May you be surrounded by God’s grace, and love.

Blessings,
Rev. Ann+
