Dear ASEDS Families,

As the premier faith-based academic institution serving the Florence community, All Saints’ strives to fulfill the mission to inspire academic excellence, leadership, and inclusivity in a close-knit Judeo-Christian tradition. These foundational pillars are critical components of who we are; they inform and shape our shared values and are integral to our success.

First and foremost, thank you for being a part of the All Saints’ family. It is an honor and a privilege for us to be a part of this special community of faith and education and to serve on the Board of Directors. As the governing body of the school, the Board is responsible for overseeing and supporting the work of our administration and the overall health of our school, which includes faculty, students, and fiduciary wellness.

Yesterday evening, you received a communication from Associate Head of School Ashley Stokes about a new direction she is planning in her career and family life. We would like to express our deep gratitude for and admiration of her numerous and significant contributions to ASEDS. Over the past three years, Ashley has worked diligently alongside Head of School Evan Powell and the entire faculty to navigate All Saints’ through the beginning of a global pandemic to where we are today- a financially strong organization with steadily increasing enrollment and test scores reflective of our legacy of academic excellence. Please join us in celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of All Saints’ during Ashley’s tenure including: the highest opening enrollment in six years during the 21-22 school year; increased financial sustainability of the school through fundraising and grant acquisition; program improvements with the addition of 2K, academic support, enrichment, and summer opportunities; technology advancements in all classrooms including faculty training. While Ashley will be missed by our community, the entire All Saints’ organization wishes her and her family the best as they begin this new chapter.

As we continue to celebrate our rich heritage, we also look forward to the future. Under the leadership of Evan Powell, we will continue moving All Saints’ forward while building upon the legacy of excellence established over 63-years serving the Florence community. Evan will continue in his role as Head of School, guiding the faculty and administration in a direct- reporting relationship to the Board of Directors. The Board has confidence in Evan’s leadership capability and are grateful for his continued commitment and dedication to All Saints’.

The Board of Directors is tasked with supporting and furthering the mission of All Saints’ in a collaborative and collective manner consistent with our by-laws and mission statement. By working constructively and transparently together, we will continue to build upon our foundational pillars. From the very first day our children arrive on campus until their All Saints’ 6th grade graduation, our students are building strong foundations that will inspire and serve them for many years to come.

The Board looks forward to welcoming all of our visitors at the upcoming Grandparents and Special Friends Day on February 16th and hope you can join us for our annual Blue Jeans & Brews scheduled for March 3rd .

Thank you for your support,

ASEDS Board of Directors
