To the Faithful of Western Massachusetts,
As we approach another election season, I encourage each of us to reflect on the responsibility and privilege we share in participating in our democracy. Exercising our right to vote is one meaningful way we can live out our baptismal call to strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being.
In a time when differences can sometimes divide us, may we remember that our shared humanity and our commitment to love our neighbors transcend political affiliations. As people of faith, we are called to engage thoughtfully, listen with compassion, seek understanding, and participate in the civic life of our communities with integrity and hope.
I encourage all eligible voters across our diocese to make a plan to vote and to become informed about the issues that affect our neighbors and communities. The Episcopal Church's Office of Government Relations offers valuable, nonpartisan resources to support faithful election engagement, including voter education, civic participation, and opportunities for congregations to become involved.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, I also invite you to join me for a special Noonday Prayer for Our Nation at 12:00 PM via Zoom. Together, we will lift our nation in prayer, seeking God's guidance, wisdom, peace, and unity during this important time.
All are welcome to participate. Register here to receive the Zoom link.
May we approach this election season not with fear or division, but with prayerful discernment, mutual respect, and a renewed commitment to the common good.
Faithfully in Christ,
