A Message from our
Head of School
Dear St. Philip’s Families,

The last month of the school year is upon us. It looks different than we thought it would, but we are still standing. I write to you this evening to share a few details regarding upcoming events and reminders.

The week of May 11th will be Storytime with Dr. Harris . I am looking forward to spending the evenings reading to your children. See the schedule below. Google Hangout links will follow closer to that week.

Monday, May 11th – PreK3 @ 7:00 p.m. and PreK 4 @ 7:30pm
Tuesday, May 12th – Kindergarten @ 7:00 p.m. and 1st Grade @ 7:30pm
Wednesday, May 13th – 2nd Grade @ 7:00 p.m. and 3rd Grade @ 7:30pm
Thursday, May 14th – 4th Grade @7:00 p.m. and 5th Grade @ 7:30pm

Friday, May 22nd is the day reserved for picking up student belongings and returning library books, and other school items. Independent reading will replace remote learning on that day for all grades. You will receive more details closer to the date.

Friday, May 29th is the last instructional day of the year. Please note that activities that were originally scheduled to occur in June have been moved up to the last week in May.

The 2020 - 2021 School Calendar is attached for your reference. Although it is subject to change, at this time we plan to follow it as scheduled.

May will be a busy month! Our faculty and staff have many ideas about ways to celebrate with your children and are reimagining the end of the school year. I am grateful for their time, efforts, and creativity. A tentative calendar for this month can be found here.

Our students and their families remain in my prayers. Stay safe, and I will “see” you soon!

Warmly,

Jasmine B. Harris, EdD
